While reading Shalom: Thoughts for prayer, I found one essential thought that I wish to quote:
"Wives are to submit to husbands;
husbands are to love their wives gently.
Children are to obey parents;
parents are not to provoke children.
Practically, such harmony is not easy to attain."
Totally agree.
I felt I am very lucky as I come from a family where my mother submits to my father, and my father loves my mother gently, we obey our parents, and parents are not provoke us.
I do hope and pray very hard so that I can archieve such a harmony and take care of my children and parents, and showing honour to my parents when they enter old age. Recently, I noticed that they ages very fast.
Without a harmony family, what is the meaning of obtaining a sucessful profession, possesion of wealth?
